During the big gamescom: Opening Night Live digital event, Electronic Arts shared a jaw-dropping story trailer for Respawn Entertainment's Oculus Rift-exclusive shooter — Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond.
Developed by the team responsible for Titanfall and Apex Legends — and also some of the creative minds behind 1999's Medal of Honor — the upcoming FPS will give VR fans a chance to assume the role of an Allied agent of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) and put an end to Hitler's plans one step at a time.
"We had a huge international cast of phenomenal actors and it was fantastic," Game Director Peter Hirschmann said. "The story follows a classic three-act structure. Act 1 is working within the French Resistance, getting ready for the invasion. Act 2 is D-day itself and then the fight to get to Berlin, and then the third act is dealing with the Nazi secret weapon program, which involved things like the 262 jet and V-2 rocket, and things that could've really turned the tide of war if we hadn't stopped them."
Quite interestingly, a full-blown story campaign won't be the only thing Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond will have to offer, as the long-awaited shooter will also feature a proper multiplayer competent — but the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order studio has not revealed any concrete details on the game's online modes yet.
