DOOM 3 Spiritual Successor QUANTUM ERROR Shines in Over 5 Minutes of Intense Gameplay Footage

Quantum Error is shaping up to be one of the most promising first-person horror games of next year, and if you just can't wait to learn more about said title, TeamKill Media has released some new gameplay footage.
Those who prefer 2004's Doom 3 over the Doom reboot should definitely keep an eye on the indie team's debut project, as it promises to deliver a truly pulse-pounding — and quite claustrophobic — experience.
The newly released footage puts the spotlight on some of the awful inter-dimensional monsters players will encounter during their dark journey, including a relentless zombie-like beast and an electrifying mini-boss.
Quite interestingly, Quantum Error will also pay homage to Visceral Games' critically acclaimed Dead Space series, as the upcoming game's protagonist — firefighter Jacob Thomas — is not only a skilled marksman, but also one clever fella who can build his own deadly — and highly experimental — weapons from scratch.
As a friendly reminder, Quantum Error is a PlayStation-exclusive project that will arrive on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2021. Be sure to take a closer look at the aforementioned gameplay footage right now:
When the Monad Quantum Research Facility – 30 miles off the shore of CA - is attacked by an unknown entity, engulfing the complex in flames and putting it into a full containment lock-down, a distress call is sent for mutual aid to the Garboa Fire Dept in San Francisco, CA. Fire Chief Sturgis answers the call and sends you – Capt. Jacob Thomas – your partner Shane Costa and a crew by helicopter to the Monad Facility. Your mission is simple: save as many lives from the burning complex as possible and get out. However, what starts as a rescue mission quickly plummets into darkness, when you arrive and find that things are not as they appear.
Quantum Error is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2021.
