Long-Awaited Sequel to 2015's BLOOD BOWL 2 Has Been Pushed Into 2021; Will Also Arrive on PS5 & XSX

Publisher Nacon has announced that the highly anticipated Blood Bowl 3 — which was first revealed back in May 2019 — will arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch and PC in early 2021.

That's right, the threequel has been officially delayed, as it was supposed to hit stores sometime this year.

For those unfamiliar with the long-running game series created by Cyanide, it basically smashes Warhammer and American football together, allowing players to take on the role of a fantasy coach, create their own outlandish teams — starring elves, humans, and even deadly orcs — and fight for the ball like never before.

"Funnier, bloodier and more spectacular than ever, Blood Bowl 3 will be a hit with fans of the universe and competitive players alike," the French publisher said via a press release. "At launch, the game will include 12 races, each with their own arena and team of cheerleaders, campaign and multiplayer modes, and loads of customisation options. Regular content updates will be added after launch."

As a friendly reminder, Blood Bowl 3 is not the only major video game Cyanide Studios is currently working on, as the Paris-based team is also developing the long-awaited Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood.
