THE MEDIUM: Troy Baker's Interdimensional Demon Steals the Spotlight in New Featurette

Portrayed by voice-acting legend Troy Baker (Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, The Last of Us Part II), The Maw will play a key role in The Medium, Bloober Team's original (and next-gen) answer to Silent Hill and Resident Evil.

In The Medium, Marianne — the horror's protagonist — is trying to deal with disturbing visions of a child's murder. In order to take care of her mental health, she decides to confront her fears personified as The Maw.

According to the Layers of Fear company, the terrifying monster will always be one step behind Marianne, messing with her head from the shadows. Considering that The Maw doesn't have a physical body — at least not in the traditional sense — fighting him will prove to be quite a challenge for the troubled heroin.

As a friendly reminder, The Medium is not the only big-budget title Bloober Team is currently working on, as the Cracow-based team is also producing Observer: System Redux — which will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC sometime this year — and a mysterious new entry in a well-known game series.

To learn more about Baker's interdimensional demon, take a look at this all-new featurette for The Medium:

Become a medium living in two worlds: the real and the spirit one. Haunted by a vision of a child’s murder, you travel to an abandoned hotel resort, which years ago became the stage of an unthinkable tragedy. There you begin your search for difficult answers. As a medium with access to both worlds, you have a wider perspective and can see more clearly that there’s no one simple truth to what others perceive. Nothing is what it seems, everything has an other side.

The Medium is coming to Xbox Series X and PC (via Steam and the EGS) this holiday season.
