Sam Fisher Becomes Zero in Latest RAINBOW SIX SIEGE - OPERATION SHADOW LEGACY Trailer
The Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege - Operation Shadow Legacy DLC is finally live now, allowing you to join the tactical fun as Sam Fisher, the beloved main protagonist of the award-winning Splinter Cell game series.
Unfortunately for fans of Sam Fisher — who has managed to appear it Ghost Recon Wildlands, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Elite Squad, and now Rainbow Six: Siege since his last major game, 2013's Splinter Cell Blacklist — Zero is not played by Michael Ironside, as the iconic spy is voiced by Jeff Teravainen this time around.
According to the company, "intel is crucial to a good attack strategy, and Zero is well aware of that. His Argus Launcher is equipped with very special cameras that can lodge themselves into breakable and reinforced surface to surveil either side. These cameras can cover two angles and [...] allow you to spy on the opposing team. Argus Cameras do have one more quirk though: a single laser shot, perfect for destroying key elements in the Defenders’ setup or drawing attention away from choke points."
Obviously, Operation Shadow Legacy also introduces a plethora of quality-of-life improvements (this time mostly focused on the reinforcement pool system and changes to Thatcher's DSEG 1.2.) and a completely reworked map — Chalet. "You’ll find that the map has been greatly reconfigured, whether it be by changing the cover inside objectives, or moving access points, or even offering new options for rotation," Ubisoft said. "However, it remains widely recognizable and keeps its signature thematic."
In other Rainbow Six: Siege–related news, the French publisher has officially announced that the 2015 video game's already confirmed PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will feature 120FPS at 4K support.
Without further ado, take a closer look at two brand-new trailers for Operation Shadow Legacy down below:
The Siege is a brand-new style of gameplay embracing the reality of counter-terrorist operatives across the world: intense and asymmetrical close-quarters combat between attackers and defenders. As a defender, you will have the means to transform your environment into strongholds to prevent the attackers from breaching. As an attacker, you will have many planning options to face this challenge and defuse these situations.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam, Origin, Uplay, and the EGS); coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X at a later date.
