Visionaries Aleksis and Egor Have to Die (Fast) in Latest Trailer for Arkane Studios' DEATHLOOP

Although Arkane Studios' Deathloop is no longer a PlayStation 5 launch title, it doesn't mean that Bethesda has stopped promoting the Dark Messiah of Might & Magic developer's new take on 1993's Groundhog Day.
To make the wait a little less painful, the publisher has released an all-new trailer for the Dishonored studio's original IP, focusing mostly on Colt's — our main hero — violent attempt at breaking the titular time loop.
The fast-paced trailer gives us a chance to learn more about the core feature of Deathloop: finding the most efficient way to kill 8 unique targets before your assassin rival — Julianna "Jules" Blake — takes you down.
In the recently released video, the despaired protagonist tries to get rid of two villainous Visionaries (Aleksis and Egor) in the same place at the same time. According to the award-winning makers of 2017's Prey, "there are 8 Visionaries responsible for keeping the timeloop going. 8 people that have to die to make things right, and thanks to the timeloop, you’ve only got one day to take them all out or the loop resets. But the targets are spread out across the island and are often only accessible at certain points throughout the day. So how can you possibly eliminate them all in time? The solution won’t be easy, but with some practice [...] you’ll be able to solve the puzzle of Blackreef and break the loop."
It's worth remembering that Deathloop will also be available on PC, and both versions of the ambitious first-person shooter will hit stores at some point between the beginning of April and end of June of next year.
Without further ado, that a closer look at the action-packed second trailer for Arkane's Deathloop right now:
The island of Blackreef. For most of its inhabitants, it’s a paradise. But for Colt, it’s an inescapable prison. Thanks to a mysterious timeloop, he’s reliving the same day, over and over, trying to find a way to break the endless cycle he’s trapped in. As Colt, you’ll have to take out eight targets – including your arch-nemesis Julianna Blake – if you ever want to escape. But remember: It’s a timeloop, so if at first you don’t succeed… die, die again.
Deathloop is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC in Q2 2021.
