GREEN HELL Is Coming to PS4, PS5, XBO & XS in 2021; Creepy Jar's Next Game It Codenamed "Chimera"
The long-awaited Nintendo Switch version of Green Hell will finally make its debut "in the next few weeks," Polish game developer Creepy Jar has announced. Said port will be published by Forever Entertainment.
Although Green Hell will arrive on the hybrid console in the near future, Creepy Jar has officially confirmed that the hit game won't be releasing for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year as originally planned.
Instead, Green Hell — which has sold over 1.5 million copies since its successful Steam Early Access launch in September 2019 — will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X in Q1-Q2 2021 — so sometime between the beginning of January and end of June — probably in March or early April.
Green Hell may have been Creepy Jar's main focus for a while now, but it doesn't mean that it's the only title they have been developing. In fact, the young studio has revealed that their next big thing is a survival game codenamed Chimera. According to Creepy Jar, pre-production on Chimera is nearing completion. It's being created by half of the 24-strong team, with the other half working on Green Hell console editions and DLC.
If you have no idea what Green Hell is all about, Creepy Jar has got you covered. The studio has released two never-before-seen tutorial videos, shining a light on their project's core features and mechanics. Take a look:
Green Hell is a sweltering struggle for survival in the Amazonian rainforest. Clinging to life, the player is set on a journey of durability as the effects of solitude wear heavy not only on the body but also the mind. How long can you survive against the dangers of the unknown?
Green Hell is currently available on PC (via Steam); coming to PS4, PS5, XBO, and XS in Q1-Q2 2021; its VR port will release in Q3 2021.
