Netflix Portugal Unexpectedly Announces RESIDENT EVIL: INFINITE DARKNESS CGI Movie

Netflix Portugal has unexpectedly announced Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. While we know literally nothing about the TV movie, its first trailer reveals that Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy are the project's main stars.

The newly revealed follow-up to 2017's Resident Evil: Vendetta will debut on Netflix at some point next year.

It's worth remembering that Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is not the only RE series produced by Netflix that will be released in the coming months, as the streaming giant is also working on an 8-episode Resident Evil TV show that will be focused on Albert Wesker's children. It will be overseen by Supernatural's Andrew Dabb.

On top of that, Constantin Film is simultaneously producing a reboot of the film series, which will reportedly shine a new light on the story of Claire and Chris RedfieldJill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, and Ada Wong.
