PS5 Version of RGG Studio's YAKUZA: LIKE A DRAGON Will Now Hit Stores on March 2, 2021

Although Yakuza: Like a Dragon will arrive on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC (via Steam) 3 days earlier — on November 10 — Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has revealed that its PS5 version won't be released this year.

According to the company, the PS5 port of Yakuza: Like a Dragon will now make its debut on March 2, 2021.

Those who can't wait to play the sandbox (formerly known as Yakuza 7) and are planning to purchase a PS4 copy of the game right away will be able to download its next-gen version via the PS Store when it launches.

For those unfamiliar with Yakuza: Like a Dragon, it was originally released in Japan back in January, allowing fans to take on the role of a new character — ex-convict Ichiban Kasuga — and embark on an action-packed journey to take revenge on the man he respected most and discover the truth behind his family's betrayal.

To learn more about the PS5 version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, take a look at the all-new teaser down below:

Ichiban Kasuga, a low-ranking grunt of a low-ranking yakuza family in Tokyo, faces an 18-year prison sentence after taking the fall for a crime he didn't commit. Never losing faith, he loyally serves his time and returns to society to discover that no one was waiting for him on the outside, and his clan has been destroyed by the man he respected most.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is coming to PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC (via Steam) on November 10, 2020; will arrive on PS5 on March 2, 2021.
