YU YU HAKUSHO’s Hiei Will Join the JUMP FORCE Roster This Fall, Bandai Namco Announces

Bandai Namco has officially confirmed that Hiei — the main protagonist of the long-running YuYu Hakusho anime and manga series by Yoshihiro Togashi — will join the ever-expanding Jump Force roster later in 2020.

Hiei will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC users this fall, and Nintendo Switch owners in 2021.

According to the Japanese team, he is the master of "the immensely powerful Dragon of the Darkness Flame technique" who "casts a [...] shadow over the battlefield that far exceeds his physical stature."

To wreak havoc as Hiei you will need to purchase either a special DLC pack or the title's second season pass — priced at $17.99 — which includes Hiei, My Hero Academia's Shoto Todoroki, Hunter x Hunter's Meruem, and two yet-to-be-revealed characters. These additional fighters will also be sold separately for $3.99 each.

Without further ado, take a closer look at the fresh Hiei-focused trailer for 2019's Jump Force down below:

The most famous Manga heroes are thrown into a whole new battleground: our world. Uniting to fight the most dangerous threat, the Jump Force will bear the fate of the entire humankind. Create your own avatar and jump into an original Story Mode to fight alongside the most powerful Manga heroes from DRAGON BALL Z, ONE PIECE, NARUTO, BLEACH, HUNTER X HUNTER, YU-GI-OH!, YU YU HAKUSHO, SAINT SEIYA and many others.

Jump Force is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam).
