Ubisoft Releases New PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME REMAKE Screenshot and Concept Art

The first Prince of Persia The Sands of Time: Remake trailer may have been disappointing — at least in terms of the title's graphics — but Ubi Mumbai and Pune are doing their best to live up to the beloved IP's legacy.
To make the wait for Prince of Persia The Sands of Time: Remake a little less painful, the French publisher has shared a never-before-seen screenshot and concept art, allowing us to take a closer look at the reimagined warehouse and enormous statue of a king of India — and you will need to find a way to reach the ledge on top of the figure's head to get the Dagger of Time and possess deadly powers, including time manipulation.
Quite interestingly, Prince of Persia The Sands of Time: Remake is the first big-budget video game produced in India — and it sounds like the creators of the remake are willing to go to great lengths to please the fans.
According to Game Director Pierre-Sylvain Gires, the long-awaited remake is a "very important milestone for the studio here because we finally have the ownership of that project. We can actually tweak the design and inject into the game what has been in our mind,” Gires told The Indian Express. "The studio has proved year after year that we could take more and more responsibilities. We started with Quality Control (QC), then production, and codec on major games like Far Cry and Just Dance. I think it is just the legacy that Indian studios in Pune and Mumbai start to create their own games," the artist added.
Considering that Prince of Persia The Sands of Time: Remake is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC — and also PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X via backwards compatibility — on January 21, it's safe to say that the Indian teams will share new details about their biggest project to date in the very near future.
