BioWare's MASS EFFECT: LEGENDARY EDITION Is Real According to Korean Ratings Board

The Game Rating and Administration Committee — our favourite source for breaking news — has spoiled yet another major surprise, revealing that the long-rumoured Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is actually real.

Earlier this year, the one and only Korean Game Rating Board "announced" a good bunch of high-profile video games — including Mafia II: Definitive Edition, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, and the Nintendo Switch version of XCOM 2 Collection, Catherine: Full Body, and BioShock: The Collection — so it's safe to say that Electronic Arts will officially reveal Mass Effect: Legendary Edition sooner rather than later.

Rumour has it that Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will include 2007's Mass Effect, 2010's Mass Effect 2, and 2012's Mass Effect 3 in one package with enhanced visuals and all-new gameplay mechanics, allowing fans to do whatever it takes to stop the relentless Reapers before they destroy all organic life once again.

According to VentureBeat's Jeff Grubb — who has proven himself to be a reliable source in recent weeks — Mass Effect: Legendary Edition was supposed to be announced and released sometime this month, but the team at BioWare reportedly needs more time to completely reimagine the first entry in its greatest franchise.

As a reminder, we haven't had a new Mass Effect title since the disappointing launch of Andromeda in 2017.
