THIS IS THE ZODIAC SPEAKING Gets Bloody Launch Trailer and Mostly Negative Reviews
Mechanic: Bartosz Sobczak
Category: Stealth Games
The highly anticipated first-person murder mystery This is the Zodiac Speaking is launching today, allowing you to take on the role of a reporter who somehow managed to survive a cruel attack by the titular psycho.
Published by Klabater (Help Will Come Tomorrow, We. The Revolution), This is the Zodiac Speaking is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (only via Steam); currently priced at $16.99.
Unfortunately, it seems that This is the Zodiac Speaking is a rather mediocre production, as the title's score of 56% on Metacritic suggests that Punch Punk Games' (Apocalipsis, AIDA) latest project is a small technical disaster (especially on consoles) that does little to live up to its fascinating — and quite original — premise.
Although This is the Zodiac Speaking might not exactly be what fans of titles like The Town of Light and The Occupation have been waiting for, people fascinated by the subject should definitely give it a fair chance — even if the game has seemingly failed to reach the heights of David Fincher's criminally overlooked Zodiac.
