MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES Footage Sheds Light on Stealth and Combat Mechanics (& Spider-Cat)
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is the main star of the ongoing Game Informer coverage, allowing us to learn more about Insomniac Games' all-new sandbox ahead of its fast-approaching debut next month.
The magazine has had the chance to recently play the latest build of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and it turns out that the young hero won't have access to the majority of Peter Parker's cutting-edge gadgets. It basically means that he will have to rely on his amazing abilities to stop the heinous Tinkerer and her crew.
In Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the titular hero will possess a bunch of well-known powers such as his superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, and agility, and also some powers unique to the character, including his useful bio-electrokinesis, energy-thread generation, and even the so-called spider-camouflage.
According to Writer Evan Narcisse, "Miles is an avatar of teenage experience in a way that has advanced so much more than when Peter Parker was a teenager,. My shorthand for this basically is saying that I personally believe that Miles, as a teenager, is cooler than Peter [...] as a teenager. He dresses better than Peter did. He's got friends. He's got game – maybe its not good game but he can at least talk to someone he’s attracted to whereas Peter could barely manage that. I think he's more connected to the world that surrounds him. Peter Parker early on was a very reactive kind of character. That's part of how we understood teenagers back then, and I think we understand teenagers differently now. They're their own people with their own concerns and ways of moving through the world," he added.
During his great journey, Miles will also adopt a super-cat who will actually help him battle shady criminals.
It's worth remembering that Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be available for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 12 — and we're still waiting for any gameplay footage from the project's current-gen version.
