Bethesda has officially confirmed that the Groundhog Day–inspired shooter Deathloop — which is being created by the award-winning team at Arkane Lyon — will be available for PlayStation 5 and PC on May 21.
As a friendly reminder, Deathloop was originally supposed to launch alongside Sony's cutting-edge console.
For those unfamiliar with Deathloop, it's a completely unique FPS with relatively simple rules: as an assassin, you have to find a way to get rid of 8 high-profile targets before your personal nemesis manages to kill you.
Considering that Deathloop is only a timed PS5 console exclusive, it's safe to say that it will also arrive on Xbox Series S/X at a later date (and it's probably worth remembering that Microsoft is hoping to close the acquisition of Bethesda and all its assets and subsidiaries — including Arkane and id Software — by June).
To celebrate the reveal of Deathloop's second release date, Bethesda has shared an action-packed trailer focused on the amazing abilities of our main protagonist Colt and his deadly rival Julianna. Take a look:
