Remedy Entertainment's Bombastic FPS CROSSFIREX Will No Longer Make Its Debut This Year

South Korean video game developer and publisher Smilegate Entertainment has officially revealed that the long-awaited first-person shooter CrossfireX has been delayed and will no longer make its debut this year.

According to Smilegate Entertainment, their all-new title will now be arriving on Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X sometime in 2021. Its campaign mode will be released as part of the premium battle pass of CrossfireX.

Its worth remembering that the single-player campaign is being developed by Remedy Entertainment, the award-winning makers of Max Payne, Alan Wake, Quantum Break, and 2019's supernatural thriller Control.

The FPS will also feature a bunch of multiplayer modes, and they will reportedly be completely free-to-play.

As you've probably already guessed, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is the main reason why you won't be able to play CrossfireX this year, as the development teams need more time to make sure that their shooter works smoothly on both consoles, and it's not easy to test it properly in today's ever-changing environment.
