THE WORLD ENDS WITH YOU Anime Gets Action-Packed Trailer and April 2021 Release Date

Square Enix has released a brand-new trailer for The World Ends with You, an upcoming anime series based on the award-winning franchise produced by the creative minds behind Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts.

According to the Japanese publisher, The World Ends with You adaptation will make its debut in April 2021.

The fast-approaching series will focus on a group of young heroes — including our main protagonist Neku Sakuraba and his unlikely friend Shiki Misaki — who embark on an interdimensional journey to put an end to the mysterious "Reapers’ Game", the unstoppable source of the Noise, which turns people into monsters.

For those unfamiliar with the fan-favourite IP, The World Ends with You TV anime is inspired by the beloved Nintendo DS game series. The latest entry in said franchise — the Nintendo Switch–exclusive remake of the original game called The World Ends With You: Final Mix — was published by Square back in October 2018.

Without further ado, take a closer look at the all-new trailer for The World Ends with You anime down below:
