Lewis Tan Reveals Official MORTAL KOMBAT Logo; Film Is Coming to Theaters and HBO Max Very Same Day

Mortal Kombat star Lewis Tan — whose role in the movie is being kept under wraps for now — has unveiled a new logo for the big adaptation, which will now be released simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max.

Yes, you read that right — you will be able to watch Simon McQuoid's reboot of the Mortal Kombat movie series on HBO Max the same day it hits theaters. After one month, the picture will be taken off the platform.

Unfortunately, the team at Warner Bros. has not shared the upcoming reboot's official release date just yet.

The Matrix 4, Dune, The Suicide Squad, Godzilla vs Kong, Tom & Jerry, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, Cry Macho, Malignant and other WB-produced flicks slated for 2021 will also get the very same treatment.

Tan is the only famous actor starring in Mortal Kombat, as the cast also includes Hiroyuki Sanada (Westworld, Rush Hour 3) as Scorpion, Joe Taslim (Star Trek: Beyond, Raid) as Sub-Zero, Tadanobu Asano (Thor: Ragnarok, Battleship) as Raiden, Ludi Lin (Aquaman, Black Mirror) as Liu Kang, Jessica Mcnamee (The Meg, White Collar) as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson (Bombshell, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues) as Kano, Max Huang (Hitman: Agent 47, Kingsman The Secret Service) as Kung Lao, Mehcad Brooks (Supergirl, Desperate Housewives) as Jax, Sisi Stringer (Children of the Corn, Bloody Hell) as Mileena, and Chin Han (Skyscraper, 2012) as Shang Tsung.

While we're patiently waiting for more details on Mortal Kombat, take a look at its official logo down below:
