You Won't Need Internet Connection to Enjoy GOTHAM KNIGHTS, Senior Producer Confirms

Gotham Knights Senior Producer Fleur Marty has some very good news for fans of single-player experiences, as the highly anticipated open-world project won't require an active internet connection to actually work.

That's right, the title — which will feature a 2-player co-op mode — won't be another "always-online" game.

Although you will be able to enjoy the entire campaign with a friend in co-op, Gotham Knights will also be playable from start to finish offline. Obviously, WB Games Montreal is pushing the co-op mode in a big way, as joining forces in multiplayer will grant you access to new (and otherwise unobtainable) team-based skills.

The premise of Gotham Knights is relatively straightforward: the Bat is dead. Killed by the villainous Court of Owls, Bruce Wayne left big shoes for Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin to fill. To live up to his legacy, the new generation of heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

Considering that Gotham Knights — which doesn't have any ties to the Batman: Arkham series — will arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and PC at some point next year, we will definitely learn a whole lot more about the fan-favourite quartet's biggest adventure to date in the coming months.
