THE LAST OF US PART II: Abby Anderson Gets Her Own Story Trailer (For Some Reason)

The Last of Us Part II arrived on PlayStation 4 back in June, but it hasn't stopped Sony from sharing a new trailer for the last-gen game, focusing solely on the backstory and motivations of Abigail "Abby" Anderson.

That's right, the surprising trailer focuses solely on the game's secret deuteragonist, who plays a larger part in the Naughty Dog–created story than anyone may have expected; and while not everyone fell in love with Abby, there's no denying that the vengeful survivor certainly left a lasting impact with fans of the original.

Coincidentally, the divisive sequel is a contender for the GOTY title — which will be revealed at next week's The Game Awards 2020 show — so you can expect to see even more trailers for Part II in the coming days.

Although The Last of Us Part II is a single-player experience, rumour has is that Naughty Dog is hard at work on the game's multiplayer component — reportedly titled The Last of Us Part 2: Factions — but the beloved studio has not shared any concrete details about their future plans for the award-winning franchise just yet.

Without further ado, take a look at the never-before-seen story trailer for The Last of Us Part II down below:
