Sega and Creative Assembly Reveal TOTAL WAR: WARHAMMER III; Coming to PC Later This Year

Sega and Creative Assembly have announced the 3rd big entry in the Total War: Warhammer series, which will give all fans the chance to embark on an action-packed adventure beyond the vast Lands of the East to the daemon-infested Realms of Chaos.
Unlike Creative Assembly's most recent undertaking — Total War Saga Troy — it won't be another (timed) Epic Games Store exclusive on PC, as the newly announced threequel is coming to both Steam and the EGS at some point this year. The game's macOS and Linux versions should also make their debut in 2021.
Thankfully, those who decide to purchase their copy of Warhammer III on Steam will be able to play online with gamers who own an EGS edition of the title (and vice versa). If you decide to pre-order the game, you will also receive some exclusive content, but Sega is not ready to discuss the "Early Adopter" bonus just yet.
When it comes to the game's setting, Warhammer III will take place during the reign of Karl Franz (so it will not feature any content inspired by the fan-favourite Age of Sigmar). According to Creative Assembly, their next big thing will feature more individual races than any other Warhammer made by the developer. Here's the first synopsis for the conclusion to the grand trilogy: "On the border between the worlds, two mighty kingdoms stand sentinel: the stern warriors of Kislev and the vast empire of Grand Cathay. But each is beset by its own trials, and now both have cause to cross the threshold and send their armies into the Realm of Chaos. The world stands on a precipice. A single push will plunge it into cataclysm. And there's one who schemes to achieve just that, an ancient figure who desires nothing less than to wield supreme power. But to succeed, he will need a champion."
While we are patiently waiting for more details on the long-awaited sequel to 2017's Total War: Warhammer II, check out this never-before-seen reveal trailer created by the Total War in-house cinematics team:
